Ava’s Caramel Popcorn was a specialty food company in Arlington, Mass. that made authentic caramel popcorn handcrafted from scratch with rich caramel, freshly roasted nuts and fine chocolate. (While Ava has recently transitioned into providing accounting services for food-related businesses, the case study still illustrates how Good Egg helped to meet her needs.)
Ava Vatsky had been working as a personal chef and wanted to start a food-business that she could run from home. She asked Good Egg Marketing to help her evaluate whether her concept for a gourmet pastry business was viable.
After using the Good Egg Marketing “Reality Check Business Plan” template, Ava realized that it would be difficult to make a living selling her fine cakes unless she worked extra hours, compromised on her ingredients, or took on assistants.
Ava came back to Good Egg with a new concept: top quality caramel popcorn. She worked with Good Egg to fine-tune her branding, packaging, and marketing strategy and successfully launched her product in the fall of 2015.
